Hu Xueyan (1823-1885), was a local celebrity and one of the richest and most famous businessmen in Qing Dynasty. In 1872, he built this house in Chinese style, with many pavilions, booths, bridges and rockeries. In reality not a house but a whole set of interlinked spaces. Masses to explore and quite wonderful.
