#festivefriday - Christmas games. celebrity trivia
Image by Shoon Shoes We are on a countdown to Christmas so let fun begin and the party games commence, ice breakers, movers and shakers or brain teasers there is nothing like a little Christmas competition to get the festive frivolities off to a cracking start. Whether it’s those Christmas classics or some uptown funky party beats, turn up the tunes and bring on the Christmas spirit. Here are a few simple yule rules for merrymaking this Christmas! 1 Let your imagination run riot with these seasonal sculptures. Sweet Sensations If you have an ever increasing sweet and chocolate mountain appearing why not challenge your family and friends to a sculpting contest? The rules are simple, see who can create the best, most festive and fun Christmas creation, surprisingly there is as much fun in the making as there is in the eating. Not only do they look good, they also make a great gift for any chocolate lovers in the family. You will need; Cellotape and copious amounts of sweets (Candy canes are a must, Kit Kats are pretty useful too) Playdoh Party Write out some Christmas characters â€" robin, Rudolf, holly, stocking etc… - on pieces of paper, fold and put into a Christmas hat (a bit like a tombola). Each player starts with the same amount of Playdoh. Player one picks a piece of paper from the hat and then has one minute to sculpt the item from their Playdoh. The player who guesses first gets the next turn (all other players loose a teaspoon of their Playdoh). Winner â€" the one with most Playdoh left. 2 There is nothing like a Quiz. Guess who? On your guests arrival (or round the table after dinner) everyone should be given a post it or luggage label - stuck or pinned to their forehead or back â€"with the name of a celebrity, or Christmas legend written on it. The idea is to guess who you are by asking questions â€" your questions will only get a yes/no answer so make them well thought through. Top of the pops! Test your musical knowledge with a festive pop quiz, use pixilated images or animated illustrations as clues or simply do a guess that tune in one! A Christmas joke quiz - Select teams (The Reindeers, The Elfs, The Mince pies) Use classic cracker jokes as questions, mixed in with a bit of festive trivia. Have a few team specific questions on hand as tiebreakers â€" for example to the mince pie team; What are the ingredients for short crust pastry? Children’s classics with a Christmas twist. Pin the nose/carrot/hat on Rudolf/Snowman/Santa Musical Christmas hats/musical Christmas statues (throw some serious Christmas shapes, hands make great antlers and Elf ears) For a little ‘PEACE’ try Sleeping Father Christmas’, everyone lies down for a â€" pretend - snooze staying a still as possible, the last one to move wins.
